Dove Deo

Recently finished a Dove Deo spot for South America, which we shot in Sao Paulo in December last year.
Long had we dreamed about joining in on the wickedly bizzare, yet ubiquitous and timeless marriage of  female hygiene products and cg rendered spheres. It’s conceptual art, if you look at it from the right angle.

Vodafone/ RTL Weather Ident

In one hard week’s work, we did this pretty little ident for Vodafone sponsoring the weather report on Dutch TV channel RTL. It sports fluffy matte 3D clouds and matte clay stop motion 3D mockups galore.

Mercedes GLK

We directed an online music video for the Mercedes GLK. It is based on objects on the roadside transforming into abstract, angular shapes as the car drives by. The interaction was designed and implemented in Flash by Jung von Matt/next in Hamburg, who were also the agency on the project. The 3d cg was produced by the exceptional Realise Studios who built and scripted the entire cityscape in Houdini and rendered it with Mantra PBR. The car configurator was produced by Glassworks and Mackevision.

We did another batch of 10 idents featuring the platinum Toyota Aygo for T4/ Channel4 in the UK. Everything needs to feature liquid dynamics in cg these days, and so we were asked for our own, quirky and abstract take on this topos.

Toyota Aygo Idents I

44 Idents for the introduction of the red Toyota Aygo, sponsoring T4 on Channel 4. We tweaked the style towards a blend of 3d photorealism in limbo/graphic space, while the animation ventures in the realms of contemporary motion graphics and abstract art sculptures wherever possible. We were lucky enough to be involved in or even writing the scripts for about half the idents.

Verizon Broadband Idents

We were asked to do three TV idents for Verizon Broadband in the USA. After pitching our ideas and being awarded the job, we learned that we were supposed to do nothing else than make another version of “The Zoo”. Coincidentally, we had discovered a few more, new transformation techniques. We produced the “Music” ident ourselves, the other two (“Games” and “Movies”) were produced at The Mill, London.

Toyota Yaris Sedan

Commercial exploit no. 2 of ‘The Zoo’, this time for Toytota Yaris Sedan in Australia. Backgrounds provided by Marc McPherson, except the interior which we shot ourselves in Tokyo. Newly introduced techniques are boxy transformations (making the car look even better than the original), metaballs and dynamics.

2003 Work Perdu En Space

2003 was quite a prolific year, but we would like to call it perdu en space. Nonetheless, we did work for MTV Unpaused/ MTV Europe, MTFG Bank Japan and Zenigata Kintaro/ TV Asahi in Tokyo.
